Club Competition
Clubs are invited to compete for title of Fastest Club in the 1 mile distance. Here is how it works:
Officially recognized clubs only
Clubs are allowed 1 team per race.
Clubs enter as many runners for that team as they wish.
A minimum of 5 finishers are needed to count as a Club Finish.
The first 5 finishers per club have their individual points earned accumulated as Club Points
If a club has fewer than 5 club finishers, it does not count as a club finish, NO SCORES ARE COUNTED.
Must have a minimum of 3 club finishes (3 races) for team to qualify for series.
Club points from all 5 races are accumulated.
Club with the highest point total wins.
Club participants are also eligible for individual awards.
The Fine Print
For each eligible race, a unique 'person key' will be constructed from your name and date of birth (this will not be reported or visible). Please be consistent in registering for races. Bob and Robert will NOT be the same person. The race name and points will be recorded based on the person key constructed. All points will be added to create your series score. These can be viewed by clicking the
Series Scoring button on the Score-This Mile Challenge Page
. Individual race scores can be viewed by clicking the
Individual Races button on Score-This Mile Challenge Page
. Each race will maintain its own awards structure which may or may not reflect those for the series. For purposes of this series, Officially recognized clubs are those that:
are related to individual participative sports (not team sports)
that maintain active membership rosters of more than 25 members
have some form of organization under New York State Law
If you are a member of more than 1 club, points will only accumulate to the club indicated on the registration for that specific race. You may choose a different club for each race. No retroactive changing of clubs to shift points is allowed.
